James D. McQueen, Jr., enjoys an active trial practice throughout the State of West Virginia and has extensive civil litigation experience in matters involving Insurance Coverage, Arson and Fraud, Insurance Bad Faith, Fire and Explosion, Commercial Disputes, Product Liability and Medical Devices, Wrongful Termination, Traumatic Brain Injury; Trucking and Commercial Transportation, Legal and Medical Malpractice; Insurance Agent Errors & Omissions, as well as Administrative Law related to Insurance Regulation and Professional Licensure or Discipline involving lawyers, doctors, and other health care professionals.

In addition, Mr. McQueen has been retained as a consultant and potential expert witness in over 70 cases, the majority of which were insurance related cases, including coverage disputes, third party bad faith cases, hybrid bad faith cases, first party bad faith cases, insurance fraud cases, or insurance regulatory proceedings. He has also consulted or served as an expert witness in the areas of legal malpractice, legal ethics, and lawyer fee disputes. Overall, he has testified by deposition or in court on more than 25 occasions and has consulted or testified at the request of plaintiffs, defendants, insured parties, claimants, insurers, agents, claims representatives, independent adjusters, claims managers, lawyers, and clients.

Mr. McQueen is a native of Williamson, the county seat of Mingo County, served on two U.S. ships as an Officer in the Navy for 4 years before attending law school, and practiced law with defense firms in Huntington and Charleston prior to founding McQueen Davis, PLLC, in 2012. He currently maintains an active interest in the West Virginia Association for Justice. He is an avid golfer and enjoys music, history and literature.
